Carhartt Sherpa Lined hooded jacket is a heavy-weight rugged coat and much more substantial than I expected. I am 5'8" and 150-lbs and bought a medium. It fits perfectly and I have room if I wear a sweater for layering. The sleeves contain a heavy fabric lining and have built-in protected cuffs that are snug on the wrists to keep wind/weather out. The entire jacket is lined with a heavy weight pile (probably poly) like a dense carpet. Very well made and the "sherpa lining" extends throughout the hood. Hood has drawstrings. Exterior is a heavy canvas (think old-style heavy tent canvas) and while not advertised as water/rain proof, I know if I spray it with the tent waterproofing products, it will more-or-less be good in any weather. The exterior has two hand pockets and zippered pocket on the left breast (not deep enough for Samsung G6 cellphone). Interior has a zippered pocket on the left (plenty large enough for G6 cellphone, the right interior has a deep Velcro closure pocket (plenty large enough for cell phone). Waist does not have draw string. The zippers appear heavy duty and good quality. The main zipper does not have wind-break fabric backing. Since this is a natural fiber exterior, different dye lots probably react with slight variation from lot-to-lot. Mine is a pleasant medium brown. I don't detect any red/orange overtones. Sherpa lining is a dark gray/black. Center back interior has a fabric/nylon ring for hanging the jacket on hook. This area is reinforced with the same heavy canvas the jacket is made from. ID tag on inside shows Made in Mexico. Fabric ID tags show 100% Cotton exterior and 82% Polyester, 18% Acrylic Interior
